Position: Senior Accountant
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Position Goal: The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for tracking Trader Point Christian Schools’ assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. The Senior Accountant/Controller provides insight into financial management and stewardship, ensuring the financial infrastructure supports the delivery of high-quality Christian education in alignment with Traders Point Christian Schools’ mission.

Qualifications:
- Candidates must be professing and maturing Christians who enthusiastically support the School’s statement of faith and mission statements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required
- 3-5 years of Full Cycle Accounting experience (Including Financial Statement Preparation)
- 1-3 years of experience with QuickBooks (QBO) and FACTS system preferred
- 1-3 years of Non-Profit Experience
- 1-3 years of payroll experience
- Experience in leading or participating in a Statutory Audit
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable
- Process and deposit all cash, checks, and other monetary instruments within QBO & the Bank
- Assist Advancement with processing and reconciliation of all contributions
- Month-End Process
- Lead the full month-end process
- Accruals, prepaids, and reconciliations
- Financial statement preparation
- Preparation of the Department performance vs budget
- Accounts Payable
- Assist the Student Billing Coordinator with A/P as needed
- Payroll
- Lead the bi-weekly payroll process
- Process the coaches' stipends, whether via payroll or by issuing checks
- Statutory Audit
- Assist in the annual audit process
- Choice Scholarship Process
- Assist as requested with the Choice Scholarship application process
- Works closely with the Human Resources department regarding changes to staff pay, taxes, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Work Status:
- Exempt, salary, full-time (12 months)
