Position: Junior Varsity Basketball Head Coach

About Traders Point: 

• Traders Point Christian Schools is a co-ed, Private, 18-months - Grade 12 school 
• Serving 700 students on the Northwest side of Indianapolis.
• IHSAA member
• Grades 5-8: Sports compete in the IISL (Indianapolis Independent School League)

Qualifications: 

• The ideal candidate should have previous coaching and/or playing experience.
• Experience in constructing a program from the ground up, and knowledge of IHSAA rules and procedures are highly desired.

Athletic Department Purpose Statement:

General Responsibilities: 

• Developing appropriate skill-building opportunities for each developmental level 
• Participating collegially in meetings and initiatives of the athletics department
• Taking an active role in the life of the school community, especially in the co-curricular events of students
• Administrative responsibilities (parent communication tools, rosters, etc.). 
• Other duties as directed by the Varsity Basketball Head Coach within the scope of experience and competence to complement the coaching role.

As a coach at TPCS, you are expected to instruct and model important religious functions that include Bible instruction, prayer, participation in weekly chapels, and other religious duties. At TPCS, your role as a coach involves a pastoral element whereby, through example and direct instruction, you are acting as a minister of our Christian faith.

This is a 1099 contractor, part-time, stipend position.
