Position: 5th/6th Grade Girls Volleyball Head Coach

Reports to: Athletic Director & Varsity Volleyball Head Coach

Job Summary:

The 5/6 Grade Volleyball Coach introduces basic volleyball skills and builds excitement for the sport.

The focus is on fun, confidence-building, and personal development.

Qualifications:

• Some volleyball experience preferred, but not required
• Maintaining communication with administration, parents, and varsity staff is essential
• Great recruiter/retention skills for your program
• Agreement with TPCS Athletic Purpose Statement, which reads: Traders Point Christian Schools is committed to developing and maintaining an athletic program that is Christ-centered, comprehensive, and competitive, and allows each athlete a unique venue to be a witness for Christ by using his or her God-given talent to move and play.
• Ability to encourage young athletes
• Must pass a background check
• Must provide proof or be willing to take CPR training 

Responsibilities:

• Teach introductory volleyball fundamentals
• Promote positive, Christ-centered sportsmanship
• Will to run successful summer camps
• Maintain communication with families
• Supervise athletes at all times,  until the last one leaves any organized event that the team is a part of
• Support alignment with upper-level volleyball coaches
• Follow inventory check-in & check-out policies with uniforms
• Plan team banquet and awards
• Reports all game results to staff before 8 am the next day after the contest finishes
• Other duties as assigned

This position is: 

• 1099 contractor
• Paid by stipend
• For the Fall 2026 athletic season
